Project Description
Duchess of Tuscany is currently under construction at Viareggio Super Yachts (VSY), she is a development of Candyscape and Roma and retains the original Espen Oeino exterior design. Laurent Giles acting as consulting naval architects to VSY were commissioned to extend the stern of the vessel by 2.5m, to compensate for the changes in buoyancy and improve hull efficiency Laurent Giles proposed and developed a bulbous bow which was also added to the design.
The general arrangements and exterior styling are substantially the same as the earlier, shorter version, but the increased waterline and bulbous bow improve hull efficiency and stability, allowing for a small increase in displacement without impairing maximum speed.
